Alex Colvin is a financial advisor with Investia Wpg. Alex joined Investia in June of 2016 to work with his father, Robert Colvin, and build a client base of his own.
In the spring of 2015, Alex graduated from Red River College’s business administration program specializing in financial services. Upon graduating, Alex took a position at Scotiabank as a financial advisor where he learned the ins and outs of the financial services industry. Working at the bank was a great stepping stone for Alex in the financial industry but his position was very generalist in nature. Wanting to focus on investments and financial planning for his clients, Alex ultimately left the bank and joined his father at Investia.
Being an independent financial advisor allows Alex to use various investment & financial planning tools to construct personalized financial plans for every client. Helping clients succeed with their financial goals and giving clients peace of mind financially are the main reasons why Alex loves his job and enjoys coming into work every day. Alex will be working on his Certified Financial Planner® designation over the next couple years in order to be able to better serve his clients.
Born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba, Alex enjoys fishing, golfing and catching the latest football or basketball game.
